Dalcanton,<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Esta imagen de la NASA\/ESA <a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/mission\/hubble\/\" rel=\"noopener\">telescopio espacial Hubble<\/a> presenta una riqueza de galaxias espirales: la galaxia espiral grande y prominente en el lado derecho de la imagen es NGC 1356;  las dos galaxias espirales aparentemente m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as que la flanquean son LEDA 467699 (arriba) y LEDA 95415 (muy cerca a su izquierda), respectivamente;  y finalmente, IC 1947 se encuentra en el lado izquierdo de la imagen. <\/p>\n<p>Esta imagen es un ejemplo realmente interesante de lo dif\u00edcil que puede ser saber si dos galaxias est\u00e1n realmente muy juntas, o simplemente parecen estarlo desde nuestra perspectiva aqu\u00ed en la Tierra.  Un vistazo r\u00e1pido a esta imagen probablemente le har\u00eda pensar que NGC 1356, LEDA 467699 y LEDA 95415 eran compa\u00f1eros cercanos, mientras que IC 1947 era m\u00e1s remoto.  Sin embargo, debemos recordar que im\u00e1genes bidimensionales como \u00e9sta s\u00f3lo dan una indicaci\u00f3n de la separaci\u00f3n angular: es decir, c\u00f3mo se distribuyen los objetos a lo largo de la esfera del cielo nocturno.  Lo que no pueden representar es la distancia a la que se encuentran los objetos de la Tierra. <\/p>\n<p>Por ejemplo, si bien NGC 1356 y LEDA 95415 parecen estar tan cerca que seguramente deben estar interactuando, la primera est\u00e1 a unos 550 millones de a\u00f1os luz de la Tierra y la segunda a aproximadamente 840 millones de a\u00f1os luz, por lo que hay casi una enorme distancia. 300 millones de a\u00f1os luz de separaci\u00f3n entre ellos.  Eso tambi\u00e9n significa que LEDA 95415 probablemente no sea tan peque\u00f1o como NGC 1356 como parece.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, mientras que NGC 1356 e IC 1947 parecen estar separados por un relativo abismo en esta imagen, IC 1947 est\u00e1 a s\u00f3lo unos 500 millones de a\u00f1os luz de la Tierra.  La distancia angular aparente entre ellos en esta imagen solo es de menos de 400.000 a\u00f1os luz, por lo que en realidad son vecinos mucho m\u00e1s cercanos en el espacio tridimensional que NGC 1356
